Instructions

Give your area a quick clean before starting.

Ensure proper airflow by opening all windows and doors where possible.

Light the sage at a 45% angle, and hold the stick away from the lit end. Keep it under the flame for approx 30 seconds. Softly blow out the flame and ensure that there is a steady flow of fragrant smoke. (If the smoke starts to reduce – re-light and repeat.)

Go around your space from room to room allowing the smoke to permeate the corners, nooks, and interiors of each room.

Upon completing the process, submerge the sage into a receptacle of ash or sand to extinguish it. It’s advisable to avoid using water, as it could complicate future lighting. Store your sage in an old mug or container.
